Challenge
As a new handmade business, P.art Promise needed a professional online presence that reflected the quality of its craftsmanship while helping customers understand a unique product category and feel confident placing custom orders. The challenge was to create a website that felt elegant and trustworthy while clearly explaining the ordering process and showcasing the handcrafted quality of each product.
Discovery
Before starting the design, I worked to understand both the business and its audience.
I reviewed competitors in the handmade and preserved flower market, explored how similar brands presented their products, and identified opportunities to create a more premium and approachable online experience.
Research & Insight
After reviewing competitor websites and the customer journey, I identified three common pin points:
01
Lack of trust
Customers connect emotionally with the story behind each product.
02
Confusing Journey
A clean, minimal interface keeps the focus on the handcrafted products.
03
Info Overload
Clear explanations of the preservation process help reduce uncertainty.
Key Takeaway
Users needed clarity, reassurance and a guided experience before they felt confident enough to place an order
Design Goals
The project aimed to:
Develop a cohesive visual identity.
Showcase products through high-quality presentation.
Build trust with first time customers.
Simplify browsing and the ordering journey.
Create a scalable website that could grow alongside the business.
Key Design Decisions
Clear Hero Section
Immediately communicates what the business does and who it's for.
Step by Step Process
Breaks the preservation journey into simple, easyto follow steps.
Resoult
Reflection
Designing for a small business reinforced the importance of understanding both the product and the people behind it. Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics, every decision aimed to communicate trust, craftsmanship, and authenticity.
If I continued the project, I would gather customer feedback after launch to refine the shopping experience and identify opportunities to further improve the conversion journey.
